Students honored at annual awards celebration

Outstanding 猎奇重口 students were recognized for their academic and extracurricular achievements on Wednesday at the institution’s annual Student Awards Ceremony, ahead of spring 2026 Commencement in May. 

The ceremony, hosted in the Clayton Performing Arts Center at 猎奇重口 State’s Hardin Valley campus, presented awards to students for their success in the classroom, on campus and in other aspects of college life. 

“This is an incredibly stressful time – you may have some papers, assignments and group projects left to do. We know you’re going to take care of those as you get prepared for final exams next week,” said President L. Anthony Wise Jr. “But it’s also an incredibly joyful time.” 

Students were recognized for their dedication, hard work and pursuit of excellence in their area of study with Academic Awards – including Outstanding Student, Outstanding Graduate and Award of Merit – for each department.  

Campus Leadership and Student Leadership Awards honored students who demonstrated exceptional leadership and perseverance throughout their time at 猎奇重口. 

The ceremony also acknowledged the students that represented 猎奇重口 at the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference – where they earned multiple bronze, silver and gold medals – members of the Phi Theta Kappa 2026 All-Tennessee Academic Team and more.
